My sister is doing a better job of keeping her online journal up-to-date
than I am for Bon Journal. Her monthly
journal is well-written and contains announcements of her latest
art shows and classes.
The other evening I watched "Captain Corelli's Mandolin" on
DVD. I was deeply touched. Had it been six months ago, I would have written
a personal review. Instead
I replayed the movie over and over again in my sleep. The next day I asked
two Greek guys I know about the island on which the movie was filmed.
I want to go there.
By this Christmas, it will be eight years since my friend Patty Brightwell
was reported missing in the small town of La Vernia, Texas. Also known
as Patty Wallace in high school, she took her husband's surname in 1985
when she got married. Patty Vaughan is now a cold case in the files of
Bexar County Sherriff's office. The pages I had put together on analyticalQ
some years ago remain in cyberspace in the faintest hope that her three
children will discover the Patty I knew at Kubasaki High School. Her case
remains open and unsolved.
