How time flies!
This time last year I was hastily preparing for my wedding, waking up each day to an unending list of details, totally consumed and utterly having underestimated the project. I lost much weight, from a size 38 to 34, from worries about the great commitment. It was a gigantic step for someone who pursued flexibility like a religion.
Surprisingly on my wedding day, I was relaxed and very happy, partly due to Keiko Kotari's waterproof make-up which made me feel on top of the world but largely because my mother and many of my close friends were able to witness and celebrate this musical occasion.
Since then, it's been nonstop go, go, go.
From mid Oct to early December, I developed and taught a new university course on energy two nights a week until early December
Just before Christmas, Cape Town, SA for 3 weeks - honeymoon and playing at a wedding
In January, finally bought a monument house in Utrecht renovating it for 5 months while trying to rent out the house in Bussum
In June, a house warming party only two weeks after moving house - 70 attended
For early July, a guitar masterclass followed by a house concert of guitar and violin music next day
Two weeks in Tuscany in July
Two weeks in London in August
A week in Provence
How did I manage to cram so much in one year on top of doing a full-time course?
The wedding was held in the medieval fortress of Naarden Vesting, where the last prince of Holland got married a week later.
